Pathway to Peak Performance- Coordination
 

 

“Coordination is the ability to perform controlled and well integrated movements”

As we all know, a movement is of little value unless it is coordinated. The Pathway to Peak Performance will answer questions such as;

“What goes into the development of coordination?”
“How do we implement coordination training for our students?”
“Is there a systematic approach to developing coordination?”
“What factors influence coordination?”

These are questions that all mentors of young and old alike should ask themselves. Coordination of movement involves acquiring technique and fundamentals in a particular skill or task. One important aspect to remember is the following fact; “as coordination and effort improve so will human performance.”

Coordination is the bridge that connects movement and skill.
 

     
 











 

The Movement Skills for Life Program is based on the evaluation & development of 12 basic movement skills. Movement skills which serve as  the foundation for physical education, fitness, and sport development.
