The Toddler Stage - (normally ages 18 months - 3 years)

Objective: The goal of this stage of development is to instill the following 3 major components into a child's life.

  • A sense of worth
  • A sense of belonging
  • A sense of competence

All activities are designed to build these inner components of a child, thereby equipping them to fulfill future stages of development. Encouragement and Praise are crucial components to this stage of child's life. The Toddler stage of development provides a fun introduction to physical activity. This stage of development also supports the development of communication and language skills. Games can be played by children either on their own or in groups with adult support.

  • Grasping with fingers
  • Visual Tracking
  • Eye Hand Coordination
  • Early gymnastic maneuvers such as Balance and rolling
